Cabin Night and Bob Day!

July 6, 2005

Hello Everyone!

I have got a lot to talk about! After everyone finally settled down from the Candy Drop we all had a good dinner and then everyone moved on to Cabin Night! It was once again a really big hit! Here is a list of all the activities each cabin enjoyed!

Atlantis took a zip down the Tipi Zip Line and then put on some temporary tattoos! Avalon went for a swim in the pool, jumped in the sauna to warm up and then enjoyed some s’mores. Brumby made cabin t-shirts for their Brumby Fun Show that is coming up in about a week and Blue Moon had a makeover night, complete with facials in the Tree House! Chateau Fiasco worked on a pottery project with Dan in the pottery studio and Deer Meadows had a Karaoke night and cooked their own dinner in their house.

Down Under spent some time in the Hot Tub and then did a creek walk. French Quarter had a fashion show and then a dance party in Foothills dance studio and Fiddler’s Green slept out in tents in Deer Meadows field had a fire and sang camp songs. Forbidden Planet worked with our Woodworking Professional Staff Ann Marie to make a new walkway for one of their bathrooms. Loons had a Poker Night in the back yard and Lower Carriage House teamed up with Treasure Island and cooked dinner and s’mores.

Paquatahnee baked cookies and learned French with their counselor Pauline and Ritz Down did some art projects and then when through the creek on a nature walk. Ritz Up had a dance party and a Talent Show in the Old Dance Studio. Shangri La also had a poker night on the new poker table they had built last cabin night and drank hot chocolate. Taj Mahal decorated journals and celebrated one of their camper’s birthday. Utopia went on a scavenger hunt and made s’mores. Valhalla also got to enjoy the Hot Tub and then relaxed with some Yoga. Wombles played Booya Ball a game that involves tennis balls and trash cans out on the tennis court. Wabanaki made cabin t-shirts to wear today for BOB DAY! (More about Bob in a minute!)

This morning Bob came to visit! Bob is the guy who films the cabin cheers and camp meeting for the DVD yearbook that we send out to all campers in the winter to help everyone remember how much fun they had this summer. Early this morning Bob drove up from Massachusetts and met the cabins out on the Rec. Hall field, then after breakfast he filmed parts of camp meeting.

Today is the last day of classes (phew! That went by fast!) and tonight is Sharing Night! I will be back later tonight to show you some pictures and talk about how it went! Hope you are all doing well we are having a blast! Talk to you soon!

Love,

Lazy Susan!
