Post-summer reflections from counselors:

"...It was great to see the children develop and grow into who they are: a person who might otherwise be shy to emerge. The love and compassion makes such a difference."

"...I liked HVC's inclusive atmosphere — everybody accepted everyone. I was proud of the way my cabin groups responded to others who had unconventional family setups or were from different cultures. They could have taught society a thing or two!"

"...Camp has helped me grow into who I am today... You gave me the chance to learn respect and responsibility while working with both children and my peers, and of course all in this beautiful environment... I can't even imagine the hundreds of other lives you have touched over the years. At the same time I am grateful that you have enabled me to touch some of those lives as well."

For 60+ years, Hidden Valley Camp has been known as one of Maine's distinctive overnight coed summer camps. Depending on your interest, HVC is an art camp, a horse camp, an adventure camp, a performing arts camp, a dance camp, a water camp, a farm camp, a sports camp, and much more. Or — because campers choose their activities — it can be all of these!

It is our hope that — in addition to enjoying fine summer arts and outdoor activities supported by professional camp counselors — campers will develop friendships and a sense of independence, and an even greater capacity to live happily and work constructively with others. We look forward to discussing summer plans with you.
