Ropes Course

climbing wall

Located in a quiet wooded grove, the ropes course has long
provided excitement for Hidden Valley campers. The physical
and cognitive challenges form the basis of a safe, adventurous,
learning environment. Working in groups, campers form new
friendships and engage in enjoyable cooperative activities.

Trapeze - Leap of Faith
Jump the trapeze on HVC's Leap of Faith.
During a typical session, campers start off playing a series of group problem-solving games.

They then engage on low ropes activities, supporting each other through a series of individual challenges.

Then the campers move on to the high ropes and climbing wall where professional outdoor staff use sophisticated safety equipment to help children continue to experience:

  • goal-setting and accomplishment;

  • confidence in one's physical abilities;

  • cooperation and teamwork;

  • trust in one's self and others;

  • and a true sense of adventure
    and fun.
